UUID, ULID and NanoID Generator
UUID v1, v3, v4, v5, v6, v7, ULID and NanoID — one at a time or by the thousand. Plus parsing of any identifier and a calculation of the chance of a repeat.
What the tool can do
- All the popular versions: random v4, time-sortable v7, deterministic v3 and v5 from a name.
- ULID and NanoID with a choice of length and alphabet, including one without look-alike characters (1, l, I, 0, O).
- Up to 10,000 values at a time, output as a JSON array, a list for SQL IN (…), comma-separated or in brackets.
- UUID parsing: version, variant, creation date for v1, v6, v7, representations in Base64, Base58 and as a number.
- A collision calculator: how many UUIDs you need to create before the chance of a repeat becomes noticeable.
- The source of randomness is the browser's cryptographic generator; values do not repeat between calls.
Identifiers are created on your device, are not sent anywhere and are not stored. For primary keys in databases, UUID v7 or ULID are more convenient: they grow over time and do not “scatter” the index.
