1. General provisions

The NotepadOK website (notepadok.com) provides free online tools for working with PDF, text, data and code. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

2. How your files are processed

The site's tools run in your browser. Files and texts that you open in the tools are processed on your device and are not sent to our server. Closing or reloading the page deletes the results, so save the files you need right after processing.

Some tools save your settings (for example, rule presets or a saved signature) in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device, and you can delete it by clearing the site data in your browser.

3. User responsibility

You are responsible for having the right to process the files and texts you load into the tools, and for ensuring that your actions do not violate the law or the rights of third parties. Do not use the site for unlawful purposes, including forging documents or the signatures of third parties.

4. No warranties

The site and all tools are provided “as is”. We try to make the results accurate, but we do not guarantee that they are free of errors, fit for a particular purpose, or that the site will work without interruption. Always check the result and keep copies of the original files. Passwords used for protection and encryption cannot be recovered: if you forget a password, we will not be able to restore access to the data.

5. Limitation of liability

We are not liable for loss of data, lost profit or any other damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site, to the extent permitted by law.

6. Copyright and third-party components

The texts, design and code of the site are protected by copyright. The site uses open-source libraries (pdf.js, pdf-lib, JSZip, marked, DOMPurify) and DejaVu fonts. They are distributed under their own licenses, the details of which are given in the files vendor/LICENSES.txt and fonts/LICENSE-DejaVu.txt.

7. Changes to the terms

We may change these terms. The current version is always available on this page. By continuing to use the site after changes, you accept the new version.
