TXT to PDF
Turn text files, logs, code and Markdown into a neat PDF: choice of font and margins, columns, line numbers, bookmarks. The encoding is detected automatically.
What the tool can do
- The encoding is detected automatically: UTF-8, Windows-1251, KOI8-R, CP866, UTF-16. If it is detected wrongly, you can switch it manually for one file or for all at once.
- Fonts with full Cyrillic coverage: monospace for code and logs, plus serif and sans-serif. Size, spacing, page format and orientation are adjustable.
- Long lines: wrap by words keeping the indent, automatic font-size reduction so the line fits entirely, or truncation.
- Two and three columns per page: handy for long logs and lists, especially on a landscape sheet.
- Binding margins: wider at the spine, on the left for odd pages and on the right for even pages. Line numbers, page numbers, and a header with the file name.
- Bookmarks: from file names when merging and from Markdown headings (# Heading). Several files can be combined into one PDF or exported as separate ones.
- The preview updates immediately when you change the settings.
Fonts are embedded in the PDF, so the document looks the same everywhere and the text can be selected and searched.
Characters missing from the font (emoji, CJK characters) are replaced with “?”. The site warns you about this before you download.
Files are not uploaded to a server: everything happens on your device.
