Compare PDF
Upload two versions of a document and see what changed: words, added and deleted pages, differences in formatting. Everything is computed in your browser.
What the tool can do
- Word-level text comparison: deletions are highlighted in red, additions in green. You can view it in two columns or as a single text.
- Smart page matching: if a page was added or removed in the new version, the rest are still compared with their own counterparts instead of shifting.
- Visual comparison: differences in color, overlay, a “before and after” slider, pages side by side. Suitable for scans without text, too.
- The “Check all pages” button shows what share of each page's area differs, even when the text matches, for example after a font or image change.
- Move between changes with the “Next” and “Previous” buttons; a report as an HTML file for colleagues.
- Settings: ignore case, ignore punctuation, turn off content-based matching.
The text is taken from the PDF's text layer. Scans have none: use visual comparison. Text recognition (OCR) is not performed on the site.
Files are not uploaded to a server: reading and comparing happen on your device. Both files stay with you.
