PDF Page Numbering
Add page numbers anywhere on the sheet: format, font, Roman numerals, numbering from your own number and Bates numbers. With a live preview.
What the tool can do
- The preview shows the page already numbered. Change a setting and the picture updates; you can flip through any pages of the file.
- The format is set by a template: “Page {n} of {N}”, “{n} / {N}”, “{file} · p. {n}”. For legal documents there are Bates numbers like DOC-000001.
- Arabic and Roman (I, II / i, ii) numerals and the letters A, B, C. The font supports Cyrillic.
- The first page number can be anything, and only part of the file can be numbered, for example “2-” — everything except the title page.
- Mirrored mode for double-sided printing: numbers on even and odd pages sit at the outer edge.
- Pages with a rotation (/Rotate) are numbered correctly: the number always reads upright.
The number is added on top of the page. If there is already text under it, turn on the white backing, and it will cover the excess.
The original file is not changed, and you download a new copy.
